The local Amsterdam idea of the Provo movement, the ‘White Bicycle Plan’ from the early sixties of last century has over decades transformed into a practice in hundreds of places all over the world. Now a new proposal has been put on the world stage of the Copenhagen Environmental Conference 2009: smart phones and poles to tackle the distribution system of vehicles; electrical bicycles and mini-cars, transfaria systems on the edge of the city; and interactive visual information systems that allow for a drive through literature, history, politics and statistics, while also measuring and mapping the actual environmental quality of the city.

Luud Schimmelpennink’s Y-tech Innovatie-centrum heeft voor de prijsvraag van de stad Kopenhagen voor een nieuw fiets-verdeel-systeem een plan ingediend “The Copenhagen Cityplan 2010”.

Het lokaal Amsterdamse idee van het ‘Witte Fietsenplan’, opkomend met de Provobeweging in de vroege zestiger jaren van de vorige eeuw, heeft zich over een periode van tientallen jaren omgevormd tot een praktijk op honderden plaatsen in de wereld. Nu is er een nieuw voorstel geplaatst op het wereldpodium van de Kopenhaagse Miieuconferentie 2009: slimme telefoons en palen om het verdeelsysteem van voertuigen te beheersen; electrische fietsen en karren; overstapstations aan de rand van de stad; interactieve beeld informatie-systemen die het mogelijk maken door literatuur, geschiedenis, politek en statistiek te reizen, onderwijl de staat van het stadsmiliieu metend en in kaartbrengend.
